IAQ-Rapid Aerial & Surface Disinfection (RASD)
Rapid Aerial & Surface Disinfection (RASD) is a combination of services that can be used to disinfect interior spaces, air ducts and MVAC equipment. It uses a variety of methods, equipment, and EPA registered Disinfectants for Emerging Pathogens. Specific methods used are tailored to the situation, the building type / use and the MVAC system. RASD services go far beyond traditional disinfection by permeating areas in ambient space and the MVAC system, which has never been affected by topical cleaning.
The foundation for a RASD operation involves electrostatic sprayers and ULV misters. There are handheld devices, total room misters, and portable misters. Each is used under specific circumstances to maximize the disinfection process.
The electrostatic nozzle spreads the droplets out more when discharged. That is because they all bear the same charge and repel each other as a result. This is more effective than coming straight out of the sprayer as the liquid more uniformly covers a wider area (think of how smooth and clear car paint looks).
Best of all, by using EPA registered disinfectant there are no harmful residues left behind after the required settling time is met.

RASD also utilizes Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) for disinfection. UVGI is a method of disinfection that uses short wavelength ultraviolet light (UV-C) to inactivate or kill microorganisms and pathogens. Essentially, UVGI is the use of UV light with sufficiently short wavelengths to disinfect surfaces.
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), UVGI can kill all bacteria, including drug-resistant bacteria because UVGI is attacking the DNA and RNA of microbes.
